Folks,

So it seems the consensus is that Maaco isn't worth the money. Growing up back East we had the famous Earl Schieb (sp?). The line was "i'll paint any car, any color, for $99."

I'm sure some folks on the list will recall his TV ads.

So, just to reduce the shock when i'm actually on-site in a shop, what should i expect to pay for a decent sandblasting and repaint all around the lower 1/4 of my van? There are two spots i know of that'll need some filling, but they're not visible so just sandblasting and some body putty will be fine. No dents, no other cosmetic work.

I'm anticipating $900 to $1200. Sound possible?
