Hi List,

Thanks so much for all of the responses; being a part of this list, I don't
know if I will ever see it necessary make a Volkswagen decision without
consulting y'all.

After talking it over with my fiance (okay, begging and pleading,) I went
over last night, and we put jumper cables on, sprayed some gunk in the carb,
and after some shaking and sputtering, it turned over and started and ran.

He had been using the interior mainly as storage space, so we took all of
the junk out of it, he took a giant box of original junk, parts,
accessories, etc. out of his garage and put it in the bus, and I paid him
and got the title.

I don't take actual delivery until the week of April 1, due to the fact that
I'm getting married next week and will be out-of-town, and one of the
conditions set by my fiance was that I didn't become preoccupied with the
thing until after our wedding...

I'll post photos in a couple of weeks when I get it home.

Thanks again for all of your suggestions and comments.

Whew...getting married and buying a '66 westy all at the same
time...Venturing into two vast unknowns at once!!
