Hi- may I point out that those of us who take things apart to see what makes them tick have discovered that the high beam is not a LED at all-the blue led is a "lens" made to look like a LED, and a tiny incandescent bulb is plugged into the printed circuit.

I am not sure of the wattage-it may be higher than that of a LED- there may be blue LED's available to replace the bulb-early Vanagons use a green LED for high beam.

Check with America's favorite Radio Shack or other suppliers of electronic goods.

On a side note- I replaced the dim fridge propane indicator LED with a high brightness LED with no problems. The fridge LED is either green or red. Blue might even be nice.

Does anyone have advice on replacing the high beam blue LED. Mine is burned out.

Thanks to all. _____________________ Leo Lipert San Juan Capistrano, CA '84 Wolfsburg Westy '00 GolfGet more from the Web. FREE MSN Explorer download : http://explorer.msn.com
