Since I live close enough to drive there, the Parts Place has served me well for the few times I have been there. I needed a replacement hubcap for my 70 Westy and they had a good price on very nice hubcaps. ($10 and they looked nicer than mine) I have not had the oprotunity to buy Vanagon parts from them, but my Uncle had purchaed parts for their 96 Passat and been pleased. I don't think I would do mail order from them living so close, but would have to weigh the cost of buying local or having a part shipped. I did look at a few of the used project Vehicles they had sitting around and they seemed ridiculous. All were non-running hunks of junk and my Uncle recomended for me to stay away from what they had to offer. The best deal on a used project was a 71 Westy with stock (non-working) AC. The body was in decent shape, but still needed lots of work... more than was worth for a $2k bus. Shop around is all I can recomend. -Dawn --- Larry Alofs <lalofs@ENTERACT.COM> wrote: > Jon Sykes wrote: > > > > I found a Summer 1999 Parts Place catalog in my > new 82 diesel vanagon - from > > the previous owner.
