Sure you do. Incandescent is just a regular little ol' light bulb, works by heating a wire white-hot. If you pull the blue plastic cover off the headlight warning bulb it looks quite a bit like the bulbs for MiniMag flashlights.

Except for the headlight indicators, which are called out as "bulbs" on both 90.8 and 90.18...there's also specific mention of how to install it (different from LEDs) on 90.9 figure 9, called out in the pictures on 90.6 and 90.7 (which are for Canadian '80-'84). The reference on 90.2, .3, .4 for '80-'84 USA models refers to an LED all right -- a red one, which they'd clearly abandoned by '84. Note that the series resistor for the LEDs is 470 ohms, while that for the bulb is 270 ohms.

Granted the Bentley is full of mistakes and omissions in this whole section -- you have to fish around a bit to find what you need, especially since they accidentally left the table of resistor values out of Fig. 4 on 90.18.
