Well there is cheap and REAL cheap.

The cheap stuff is "Stories" which happens (I think) to be the family name on the business so obviously it is relabelled stuff. Mine has been on our Westy for a couple of years now - stored on the carport - and still looks good.

The REAL cheap stuff is farm implement paint from the local Co-Op. I've used it on the frame of my Beetle with good results. That stuff is about $15 a gallon. Don't think it would be good for large body panel but underneath....

However - it looks damn good compared to some of the botched jobs I have seen with much more expensive materials.

It's not the materials that guarantees you success - it's the person applying it. Yes good materials and a good spray good person is best, but a good sprayer and cheap materials still looks better than some amateur with the world's best paint.

I'd lean towards the better stuff of course - I'd expect it to last longer. Whatever you can afford.
