I bagged a small AUDI quattro glassmount mirror at the local recycler (DAD's
in Rancho Cordova, CA)  I intend to mount it on the glass so the mirror top
is almost even with the bottom of the original mistake er design.

This allows a reasonable amount of visibility to the rear, something not
available with the current setup.

FWIW the OEM mirror simply twists out of the "socket" leaving just enough
space between the visors to mount your favorite radar detector.
