Dallas built a light rail about ten years ago. The first tracks went towards the West into blue collar worker territory. The last of about six lines went to the North white collar afluent area. The busiest line is the North line into the afluent area, its ridership is about five times that of the West line. Actually the only line that is profitable. That only proves that driving your expensive car in heavy traffic is less desirable than leaving it at home and reading the Wall Street Journal on the way to work. I've never ridden it ............... wonder if they have a Starbucks on board?
