Wow! I never even realized there was such a thing. The next time Jimmy, my suspension guy, is pumping my Hakkapeliitta's to about 120 psi to get those stiff sidewalls to pop their beads, I'll have to ask him if he used them there HIGH PRESSURE tire stems. After all, they have to be at least $3.00 better. Well, at least $3.00 better for Discount Tire.

Now that I am done being a smartass, I have run a couple dozen D-rated tires at VW specified pressures for over a dozen years with no tire valve failures of any kind. In the way of tire valves, the only thing I have ever asked of Jimmy is to use the long stems. If there were any reason to use a high pressure valve, I'm sure Jimmy would have told me.
