Subject: new subscriber problems 86 westphalia digifant
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed

Hi, I'm a new subscriber who has recently purchased an 86 weekender after giving up,reluctantly,an 82 camper. Can someone help me with two problems that have reared their ugly heads? 1} Where in the engine compartment do I find a hot spot to attach the positive wire from a tach to get RPM readings? 2) I've searched the engine for a timing mark without success. Am I missing something (besides the usual nuts and bolts) or,if not, is it possible to improvise a mark based on the postion of the distributor rotor? Thanking you in advance for your expertise, alex
