Saga of the cat continues.
My nice neighbors have moved to North Carolina.
They departed about 9 AM yesterday.
As soon as I saw the last of their tail lights I immediately went to the
store and bought some cat food.
I put a bowl of water and cat food on their porch and the cat found it
without my help.
I've filled the bowl about five times in the last 24 hours (always when
the cat wasn't around to see me).
She's eaten everything each time I've filled the bowl and hopefully
she'll associate that porch with her future meals.
I have no idea how long it will be before the new owners move in,
possibly she'll (heard it was a lady with two children) will have some
painters or construction workers come in before she moves in. This would
be ideal because they'd be giving her snacks from lunches and cementing
her thoughts to that location for meals.
I'm hoping that this works and the cat makes a successful migration of
her affections.
In addition I'm hoping that the new owners appreciate all the trouble
I've gone to just to give them a bonus cat with the purchase of a new
home.
I fear that they may have a dog and set me back to stage one again.
