I can't help you on the Portland area but I have a quick story to relate to you. When I had my front suspension rebuilt the shop assured me that they knew exactly what was required. I left my bag of parts and two repair manuals. A couple of days after picking up my newly repaired Westy I noticed a nice collection of greasy fingerprints in my manuals at the suspension section. I'm glad I left the manuals and I'm glad they found them useful.
