I often get people with screwed up faces saying " EEEEuuuu, why would you ever want to go to that place!!!!!" So sorry if I mis-understood you intent with your question. The short answer is that I go for the adventure. Also the Am. U of Cairo paid me fairly well. Cairo is a tough place to live, dirty, stinky & ugly, noisy etc, but the experience of the desert is great and the trip home was fantastic. I have lived (for 1 year or more) in Ghana, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Morocco, Vietnam, Egypt, USA and Canada. For the obligatory van content I had Westies with me in Saudi, Morocco & Egypt. If you'd like more than that, my resume is located at http://faculty.msvu.ca/mstebbins/index.html. I'm posting this apology to the list, again, sorry for my smart-mouthed response to your sincere question. Malcolm |
