Good quality passenger tires of 16" or greater should be ok since the load is distributed over a larger surface area. I've been running Yokohama AVS+4 16" 205/55-35PSI on alloys with no probs for 2 years.

Is everyone else putting the rear tires at 40 PSI? > NEVER EVER inflate your tires to above the limit specified on the tire sidewall. Pressures should be always measured when tires are COLD, because the pressure rises when hot. Most car tires have a max inflation pressure of 35psi but many have a max of 44psi. No passenger car tire is really suitable for a Westy. LT tires often take much higher pressures and you must inflate to the max pressure to get the max load index.
