The difference between the ego and the ID is sometimes hard to fathom. When you have so much invested (cash, time and your best effort) the numbers are always sobering and sometimes exhilarating. Unfortunately many can't resist the desire to share their pain with others with exaggerated performance claims that lead those others down the same path. I painfully recall the mileage improvements in which I took my college transportation from 18 on the highway to 15.8. Was never able to fully recover to the stock value with the thickness of my wallet at the time. And the additional cost of Preparation H when SWMBO was done with me! Thanks for wading through that lengthy missive and keep up the work on the bench. The truth is always in the numbers. Frank Grunthaner |
