Hi Brian, If it helps, many speakers have 2 different sized plugs. The little one is the black/negative, big is positive. At least that is what I have found. As stated earlier, if you get a new stereo you should run new wires. This avoids the common ground problem AND you aren't using 20 year old rotten wires. Good luck Bill Marshall |
