Quotes:
Even though Mac users may be only 10% of the market, always remember
that we are the TOP 10%.
Computers manufactured by companies such as IBM, Compaq, Tandy and
millions of others are by far the most popular, with about 70 million
machines in use worldwide. Macintosh fans, on the other hand, may
note that cockroaches are far more numerous than humans and that
numbers alone do not denote a higher life form - New York Times,
November 26 1991
Fact: A 1990 or even considerably older Mac is still a perfectly
usable machine, if slow. Try a nonMacintosh of such an age...
Fact: A Mac is much faster than a "PC" of the same quoted speed. More
than makes up for the supposed (actually misleading) pricing of Macs.
Fact: Professional graphics workers go for Macs.
Fact: Older Macs can be happily and greatly upgraded. Can others?
Fact: Macs are "friendly" and relatively intuitive to use. Can't say
the same for others.
Fact: Macs are immune from almost all viruses.
Fact: What Apple does, others copy (windows, naming {"iPaq"}, styling etc).
Fact: When a Mac running OS9.1 or lower crashes, it needs restarting,
which is a minor irritation. But this is fixed with OS10, which is a
Unix system. Older upgraded Macs can also run OS10.
Fact: PC stands for personal computer. Guess what a Mac is...
I wouldn't take a new free PC if it was offered to me. Actually I
would... then sell it to a sucker and use the money on something
worthwhile.
