Hmmm... my '81 4-spd 2.0 with a progressive carb and big heads will do 90 or so (speedo indicated with stock tires) without breathing too hard if there's not much of a headwind. I always figured it'd hit 100 with a downhill slope (and plenty of road). Maybe a test run and a snapshot of the speedo "at speed" is in order? Or am I just asking for trouble?
