Actually I know that, but couldn't resist poking fun at the US market, where so many cars get inexplicably different names from the rest of the world (but Japan is almost as bad; there a large proportion of Japanese models get different names to export versions).

Of course the early Golf was called Rabbit and the Passat Dasher; Jetta carries on there when the rest of the world now gets the Vento name for the Golf notchback. The Series 3 Transporter (Type 24) is called - YUK - Vanagon... the T4 "Eurovan" etc. Marketing managers. Phew! Or should that be Pee-U? -- Regards Andrew
