Subject: Tires for a Syncro ?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=Windows-1252

I am currently running a set of Michelin MXT 205/70 x 14" on my Westfalia Syncro. My other Vanagon (A Carat) is in need of tires so I am considering putting these tires (off the Syncro) on the Carat as they are a essentially summer tread tire. My plan was to put a set of winter type / crossover tires with a more of a year round tread so I was not switching the Syncro tires over in winter. Trouble is I have been (so far) unable to locate any suitable 205/70 14's tires that would meet the load requirement. I am set on keeping my VW alloy rims so I am limited to 14" and really would like the look of the slightly wider 205's instead of a 185 0r 195. Can you please advise me what tire choices you might suggest. I'm sure there has to be something out there to accomplish this dilemma. So far (at least thats what I think) the tires shops won't provide an option unless its one of "their" brands.

Many Thanks for taking the time to read and maybe respond to this. I am still on no mail for now so if you respond please reply to dwhayward@shaw.ca

Thanks
