And they've ever heard of being able to install new pads without removing the calipers from the rotor. --------------- Your parts guy is an idiot. Lexus has drop in front and rear brake pads, Toyota has drop in brake pads, my 92 Ford has drop in brake pads on all 4 wheels. I think most of us just use a big screwdriver between the rotor and old pads to push them back into the calipers.
