Hola amigos:

Thanks for all the replies; most of them against taking out the thermostat. Main concern was the excessive flow of coolant thru the system.

My question now is: If I take the center part of the thermostat, will that be enough to limit the flow ? If I´m not too concerned on engine´s life is it ok to take it out?

I´ve managed to blow the engine three times in the past year so I would love to not worry about heating!!!

Please take into account that Gertrudis has a carb, not FI ,and that heater working is not absolutely necessary (maybe I can even tap it).
