Totally true of any specialty retailer. I used to work at a store, in a mall, and the reps were giving us stuff at prices up to 30% below retail. I've also gotten FREE stuff just to use it. Why? Because if my only experience is with one brand, that's all I can talk about. People actually would walk in the store and ask me straight up "what do you use?" and they would buy it without even looking at it. The products are being pushed by the company reps. The salesman justs wants a bargain. When you talk to any retail salesman, stick to the facts, the numbers, the features. The salesman isn't evil, he is a fountain of knowledge waiting to be tapped. Besides, the salesman doesn't take the money out of your wallet -- you do.

Bill Marshall - cheapskate
