A whole house filter does not filter chlorine out of your water. That said, what you
want to do with the Westy tank is dis-infect it, not keep chlorine in it. Add 1/4 cup
bleach and then fill the tank. Doesn't have to be full. Drive it to get it to slosh
around and also open the sink faucet and let some run through that line. After a few
hours, drain it out and flush well and refill. Don't forget to flush the faucet line.
Works for me and I drink the water from my tank all of the time. Tastes great. I have
a water softener and that's what I fill the tank with.
