Subject: Turbo charge a diesel vanagon?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="windows-1252"

Forgive my ignorance, but does anyone know if there is a reasonably simple and cheap way to turbo charge a diesel vanagon? Wasn't there a 1.6 turbo diesel VW engine fitted to Golfs and Jettas around that time? Was the engine the same with the exception of the turbocharger, head, etc? Seems this would be a sound way to get a little extra oomph out of her slowness?
