I've been an Apple user since the ][+ I got in 1977. I've never bought an Intel machine for myself, although I earned my living for quite a few years supporting them (Windoze 3.0 through NT 4) I agree with most of what Andy wrote....however.

Older upgraded Mac can NOT run OSX. According to Apple, their new OS requires a native G3 or G4 machine. Older Power Macs with upgraded processor cards need not apply.
