Questions that come to my mind:

1. What about throttle and tach operation? I know that some of the later model VW TDi motors use "drive by wire" accellerators, right? (Potentiometers).

2. What about power steering, AC, cruise control?

3. Ground clearance for a Syncro?

I personally don't like the idea of raising my rear deck 4" (it is already crowded enough back there!). Also, the rear cabinet may need to be trimmed away to clear a raised deck in a Westy. Not ideal, IMO.

Also, the cooling "tunnel" problem that BenT posted earlier makes sense - interested to hear a response to that question.
