I personaly have known two people who have had their
car/truck stolen while in Rosarito/ Ensenada. Even If
I had the best insurance in the world I would not rent
anything that goes across the border to the former
murder capital of the world-Tijuana, which had an
average of over 400 murders per year in 1998) Some
were tourists who refused to divulge their pin numbers
were found dead in thier cars of apparent alcohol
overdose(forced you to drink Taquilla+smothered) . I
met a guy who knew someone who watched his wife get
gang-raped while a knife being held to his
throat(always camp at a REAL commercial campsite)
Over all this place SUCKS, if you can fly south of
Ensenada, you are MUCH safer., Ive driven there many
times from San Diego....in my stupid/foolhardy years
