<I am getting tired of seeing requests for help from TiiCo devotees.>

Well, I don't have an air-cooled, or a Syncro, or a camper, and I have to put up with messages about them. It's a wide-ranging list. They are all Vanagons.

<Now, correct me if I am mistaken.  If "complete" means having all necessary parts, elements or steps, why is it necessary for the purchasers of this package to come to the list for help?>

Because we are not professional mechanics, and because this is a relatively new and unusual powerplant. Besides, some of "us" e-mail among ourselves anyway.

The engine IS complete, but it still has to be installed, and some assembly is required. It doesn't install itself.

<Since this kit meets with their approval, another question which comes to mind is how far down the liability chain is that rather large purse which is slung over the shoulder of VWSA?>

Not as far as Subaru or Porsche or Chevy, who are not approved by VWSA, yet people still use those engines for swaps. I'm sure VWSA knows all about this kit coming here, it's not like the engines are being smuggled in on fishing boats. The engines are made by Rem-tec. Does no other car company use a subcontractor? The engine is warranted by Rem-tec, and they stand behind it. I know, because I had a problem and they replaced the engine. Free. And why do we care about VWSA's purse, anyway?

It sounds like you took a crabby pill today.

This is a Vanagon list, and there are a lot of postings that have less to do with vanagons than the tiico postings (like all the computer arguing of late). Use the delete key.
