Yes, your stainless steel vent on the outside of the van isn't properly sealed to the van body, allowing air to blow in and blow out your flame. On my Alaska trip I kept my fridge running nonstop (except for refueling the propane tank and while on the state ferry) for five months. Never blew out, but I'd sealed my vent with silicone sealant beforehand.
