I offer this only because it kept an early 70's chrysler auto transmission working for an extra 130k miles. all traditional disclamers apply. Go to you NAPA store (or equivalent) and buy a can of a product know as TransX, a new transmission filter, and an appropriate number of quarts of transmission fluid. Change fluid, use TransX to replace one can of fluid. Drive van. If fixed , drive on, repeat every 20-30 thousand miles. If it doesn't work, take can back for refund. It worked for me at a point in my life where a transmission rebuild would have had major disasterous effects.

Good luck, I am in the process of having an Oldsmobile Aurora transmission rebuilt. I made the last payment on the car and I new some nightmare was coming. I will be very happy if the first digit in the bill for the transmission is a 2. My Aurora makes it so I can appreciate the cost of repairs on my Westy.

A reminder to all, 21 days to EveryBus2002. See you there.

drive well,

jim and lois henry 84 westy
