I started out with CPM OS, then DOS 2.1, then Xenix/UNIX and then the Mac
came out. It was really impressive compared to the old text based
platforms. It was the first viable graphics computer, it was astounding
when coupled to the Mac (Cannon / HP) Laser printer.
Almost everything I was writing was Basic 80, FoxPro, Clipper, Dbase or
SQL and it just never actually filled my needs for anything that produced
income. I did love to play with it though.
I have several friends with G4s that actually do video editing on them
and know some musicians that lay up multiple sound tracks on their G4s.
The Mac product line is important to the computer industry ........... it
gives you a choice.
