>and likely cheaper, for same power. Anyone have torque curves for >ANY Subie engine???? tx, Tim I have one for the Japanese-market Impreza WRX STi Type RA. Unfortunately I cannot locate the jpeg of the factory page on my HD (though I seem to occasionally come across it when I don't want it, I can't find it when I DO want it...), but have a printout, so: "BOXER MASTER-4 BOXER-4 (then a symbol of an H on its side), MASTERPIECE, MASTER, Matured Advanced Sporty/Economical/Reliable EJ-20 2.0l FOUR CYLINDER 4cam16valva TURBOCHARGER with INTERCOOLER MAXIMUM POWER: 280ps/6500rpm MAXIMUM TORQUE: 33.5kg/m/4000rpm POWER WEIGHT RATIO: 4.250 (WRXtypeRA) 4.46(WRX)" RPM - TORQUE (kg/m) 1500-15 2000-18 3000-32 4000-33.5 5000-33.5 6000-32 7000-27 7500-24 RPM - POWER (PS) 1500-28 2000-55 3000-120 4000-197 5000-230 6000-270 6500-280 7000-277 7500-267 PS is slightly more than hp, so 280ps =~290hp. Figures are SAE. Usable torque is available from 2000rpm and gets really strong about 3000; it peaks at about 3000 and is a broad flat curve from there, dropping only slightly by 6500 and still very good at 7000. -- Andrew Grebneff 165 Evans St, Dunedin 9001, New Zealand <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut |
