These portable units still need to be vented to the outside and have the condensation water dumped regularly. It is a good (but expensive) solution. I would still need to find somewhere to store it while on the road which was my original reason for starting this project, to store my window A/C unit out of the way.

Thanks for the input

You guys are thinking way too deep here---getting carried away, with the thought of hanging, cutting, and venting---

How about this simple solution?

I have seen advertused in the summer month's, ( I think at Best Buy ) a portable room Ac unit on wheels, that isn't too big, and is movable---This unit could be moved anywhere you wanted in the van, tent , whatever, and wouldn't take an act of God to make it functional----

I'm buying one anyway, it's the cool, simple solution for me----
