Our A/C ducting in the rear was cracking in several places and starting to worry me. I finally pick up some pvc tubing cement at Home Depot. Our duct is grey, and this stuff is nearly the same grey. I think that clear and other tubing colors are available. I smeared it on the cracks inside and out, forcing as much into the crack as possible. Let it sit overnite and voila! Cracks are no longer a concern. They're not totally invisible but they haven't opened up again.

My A/C housing in the rear ceiling of the van ('90 A/C) developed a huge crack. It runs front to back on the bottom and is working it's way up the front face. The housing is made of off-white plastic. It still operates. I see that I will have some options: -sell the van (NOT) -go junking and find a new part, pay for it, replace, rewire, refill, etc. -glue it back together (?) -create new and improved version in my workshop

Anyone have any experiences to share? If I can make something better I would prefer that to getting another fragile plastic housing. Thanks.
