Jeeeeezzzzze, this is tuff work.

Decided to go for a 93-97 Eurovan camper, but they are SO hard to find and SO expensive. So we are open to the original proposition again: 86-97 Camper.

Drove to Madras, OR (7hrs, one way) to look at a 91, was told it was beautiful, straight, clean. It was rusty, smelly, dirty, lousy brakes, lousy auto transmission.

Looked at a 91 in Everett, was told it was in excellent condition with only 89,000 miles. I ran a VIN check on it and the odometer had been turned back 100,000 miles.

Looked at a 97 EV in Fife: 90,000 miles, rusting, dirty, engine light remained on while driving, engine was very rough, found papers showing it's already had approx. $16,000 of work on it. A true lemon, I think, and once a lemon always a lemon, I fear.

So. To recap: looking for an *excellent* 86-97 Camper; auto transmission; must be very clean/straight inside and outside (Zero Rust); camping equipment needs to be in excellent condition. Power windows, locks, cruise would be nice.

Willing to travel a bit for the right vehicle.

Thanks,

Dale & Trish
