A white nylon, roughly 'L' shaped connector with three wires, brown, gray &
black, swung loose. I had been taped with electrical tape (a while ago) in
such a way to keep it up out of the way. I cannot see where it might connect
to.

Do your seat belt warning light, and tone both function when this is
disconnected?

This is just off the top of my head, but I think that a gray, and a black
are both used for this circuit.

The brown is a ground.
