Ok list tire guru's of doom-----

I have a question on this HD truck tire fairy tale's---

I'm under my 87 Westy today, changing the ATF, and cleaning the screen--

I'm all done, roll out from under on my creeper, and for some unknown reason stop at the R/H rear tire, and start reading the sidewall----

Yokomamma, 205x 75x14 Van Special.

Hmmmm--Van special-----must have something here----

Load range D

1840lbs.@ 65 psi----

2 plys rayon 2 plys steel 2 ply sidewall----

Hey this is the same crap my "cheap Cooper's" are !!! ( except the Cooper's are rated at 1540 lbs. @ 36 psi.)

And they ain't no "Van Specials'"

So tell me O guru's of doom----what give's?

These tire's that are rated for vans, ain't no better than the car tire's I have on my 85 GL !!!

How can they be rated at a higher load at a higher psi, when they are constructed the same way?

NUT'S------

Later,
