Subject: Air conditioner for camping
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

My latest project is installing a window air conditioner that can be used while parked in a campground. It is now installed under my jumpseat as shown in the following photos: http://home.earthlink.net/~tjhannink/photos/CampingAirConditioner1.jpg http://home.earthlink.net/~tjhannink/photos/CampingAirConditioner2.jpg http://home.earthlink.net/~tjhannink/photos/CampingAirConditioner3.jpg

In order to use this unit in place I plan on building a duct that I can install between the top of the unit and the middle side window. The seat bottom itself hinges forward and provides full access to the top and back of the unit. The unit has no drain, but if needed, I can add one through the floor.

Your comments and suggestions would be appreciated on what to build the duct with. I am leaning toward using Astrofoil insulation and making the duct foldable for easy storage. The top of the duct will either fasten to the window screen or replace the screen entirely.

Thanks,
