Actually, "beer" is any fermented drink made primarily from malted grain and seasoned with hops. Lagers, ales, stouts are all styles of beer; many people wrongly associate "beer" only with one style - lager is a beer, beer isn't just lager. Different styles are best enjoyed at different temperatures - just like wine. Ideal serving temperatures for U.S./N.Z./Oz lagers: 45 degrees F; European lagers, all Dark lagers, wheat beers: 48; regular British, Belgian ales and stouts: 55; strong Trappist ales, Barley wine: 60.

You know, I'd never connected the two!

Noone in his right mind would drink beer WARM, but lots of Poms do...

It's just a shame that VW Germany doesn't make a SINGLE enthusiast's car. Not one model handles well (Polo, Golf & notchback Golf by other names, Passat...); if you want a new VW which handles well you have to go to South Africa. VW has lost its roots, which is part of the reason i wouldn't buy a new German one. Gimme a new SA Microbus please...

What about the oil leaks... which cannot be stopped because the oil doesn't only leak past seals & gaskets, but actually THROUGH the awful-quality porous AND permeable alloy engine cases? -- Andrew Grebneff 165 Evans St, Dunedin 9001, New Zealand <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut
