I am using a Radio-Shack gutter-mount antenna mounted just behind the driver's door. It took a little tweaking to get it to tighten sufficiently, but it works. The cable is routed through the door opening. I chose this type of antenna since the fiberglass top precludes the use of a magnetic-mount. I did not want a gigantic fiberglass pole either. My CB is a Cobra with mic-mounted CB controls. The head unit rests out of sight behind the driver's seat. I chose the mic control model so I wouldn't have drill or cut the dash to mount it. Thus far I've had good reception and apparently the unit sounds clear on the other end as well.
