Michael, IMHO, appraisers for Vanagons and Vanagon based variants - Westy's etc, are not worth the salt in their bodies. There have been some really good e-mails posted by list members in the past about this, particularly where claims were concerned, and this info is in the archives. You will find that there is a general procedure to follow to gather information about your vehicles worth, as posted. You would do well to dig through it all and find it.
