Hey, Chris. Wouldn't you know, my wife's Jetta was doing the same thing. First I cleaned the spark plugs, and it was running good. She complained again this week, so I checked the car again. This time it was a little dark, I accelerated the car from the engine compartment, and it was bogging down big time from idle only. But because it was dark, I could see the sparks flying from the distributor cap I had replaced a few months ago, to cylinder #4. I replaced the cap with the old one, problem gone. Check your cap and cables. Hector
