The observation gallery needs you to define 'take out' :-) I think in a head-on at a decent speed, there would be much less left of your SUV than the Vanagon, because the SUV is built to fall apart in a crash. You would likely be safer in the SUV, but I think the Vanagon would be in better shape. Fortunately, head on collisions are rare, because I don't think that at freeway speeds, it makes much difference what you are driving, you are likely to be dead. John |
