fellow vanagon types the addition of a point of compression gives you a 4 percent increase in power lets say the engine was 100 Hp that would add 4 horse power. The long block by it self does not make 115 hp just because it has the higher compression pistons. bolt on items might help get the power up like dual carbs a better breathing exhaust and don't forget the right amount of octane to keep the engine from pinging the night away I don't think the engine would run very well at 10 to 1 with the gas in the states chances are the engine has been gone threw (notice I did not say rebuilt) most people don't rebuild engine they go threw them Bob Donalds http://www.bostonengine.com |
