Hi Volks: I read about this tip on some auto-detailers web site (I forget which) and it works really great: Really soak your glass with whatever product you prefer for glass cleaning (I use a nicely scented product from Windex). Take some 00000 or 0000 (five zero or 4 zero) - or as many zeros steel wool as you can find, and move it in a figure 8 pattern across the glass. ( I bought my special steel wool at a Home Depot, of all places) Wipe dry with a old bathtowel. Repeat process. You'll have glass that is so clear and clean, it will be invisible - and this method is much easier and faster than the paper towel technique. My vent windows had that ugly rubber deposit on it which the paper towel bit never cleaned off - now it's perfectly clear and like new. It'll be a great technique for summer when the bugs are everywhere on your glass, too. Marshall Ruskin 84 Westy |
