I would suggest trying to find an '86-91 (some 85s had them too) instrument
cluster with tach.  This setup has a digital clock in the center of the
cluster and a tach in place of the old analog clock.  These usually run
around $100 used and can be had (I don't have any right now though).
You may have to rearrange your wiring to the instrument cluster a bit for
this to work but this has all been outlined in the List Archives.

Hi All
I'm looking to install a tach just to the right of my instrument cluster (I
like the clock) in my 83.5 Westy.  It's a strange angle to set up so that
the tach won't be looking into my lap.
Could you folks on the list give me some ideas on what any of you have done.
