Hi,


I'm new here. I recently bought a 87 Vanagon and already need some help!


The gear selector lever (in the cab) broke off in my hand on the weekend. I
managed to get home using a screwdriver to shift gears. As this is not ideal
(and I have no reverse) I want to replace this part. The dealers in SF want
$90 and Bus Depot don't do this part so I thought a scrap yard would be my
best bet.


I'm new in San Francisco (from South Africa) - can anyone recommend or give
me the names of good scrap yards for Vanagons in the Bay Area?
