Subject: Water Tank Hose Connection
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

O.K., so I had a little drip coming out of the connection into my fresh water tank after I R&Red the interior to do body and insulation\vapor barrier work. I let it go for the season, but this year I decided to fix it. I took a look at my other Westy, Lo and behold, there was an O-ring gasket tucked into a groove on the tank inlet. The one I was working on had no such ring, nor was there one when I took it apart (PO\mechanic had been in there to replace side panel after a crash they forgot to tell me about). Great, I thought, and switched them. Problem solved, right? So sorry, it leaks a little worse. Anyone tried using a non-ribbed hose? Both my vehicles have ribbed hoses, so I think they are standard, but I can't help but think they contribute to the problem. Any fixes out there would be appreciated.
