I put a small, then a larger Sun tach on the left-forward corner of the instrument panel cover (with a plug on the wires so the cover could be completely removed. Loved it until I got the panel with integral tach which I love even better. I was sorry to see the clock go, but the tach is worth it. Just being able to tell someone "if your foot is all the way down and it's falling out of the green zone you have to downshift" means a lot in hilly driving. I was fortunate to have a panel where the mileage was only a little over that on the van, so I just waited until they matched and did the switch. That way I got the tighter-calibrated speedo too. :)
